Postcode YO23 3FR. The college is six miles south west of York on the A1036.

What the organisers say

The dressage is sited on a football pitch with the showjumping arena top-dressed and maintained by the agronomy students, so the ground will be perfect. There is ample warm-up space for both phases, plus a spacious showjumping arena.

The cross-country is designed by Adrian Ditcham. The course is intended to be flowing and confidence building. The terrain is undulating and the soil loamy. The courses are best suited to first-time riders, young horses or combinations stepping up a level. We have a new novice track for this fixture.

We are sponsored by Coltesfoot Equestrian and Suzuki GB.

What the riders say

Dressage & showjumping — “Both the dressage and showjumping arenas were flat and quiet, with enough warm-up space as long as there wasn’t a sudden rush of competitors.”

Cross-country — “The cross-country was a fair test of the level and I would happily take a first-timer as it is well presented with alternatives at any technical fences, although the technical fences were inviting enough to encourage the direct routes first time.” “The warm-up is a little tight.” “Event layout was good and compact, so not too much walking for connections between phases.” “The ground preparation was good and the event ran smoothly considering the thick fog caused cross-country abandonment for BE90.”
